Service Change Description

Rail
MARTA will increase rail frequency on weekdays to every 10 minutes during peak hours (approximately 6AM-9AM and 3PM-7PM), and every 12 minutes during midday hours, as announced in the Annual Customer Charter. Southbound Red Line service will start 3 minutes later.

3 Martin Luther King Jr Dr / Auburn Ave
To improve service reliability, trip times on this route will be shifted. Westbound service will start 1 minute later.

5 Piedmont Road / Sandy Springs

Maps and digital system information will be updated to reflect new road configuration in Sandy Springs. Southbound trips will now travel on Spruill Lane.

6 Clifton Road / Emory
[ Map | Schedule ]
Weekday schedules will be adjusted to better reflect travel times along the route. Northbound and southbound service will end 2 minutes later.

8 North Druid Hills Road

Weekday schedules will be adjusted to better reflect travel times along the route. Northbound service will end 2 minutes later. Southbound service will end 4 minutes earlier.

21 Memorial Drive
To improve service reliability, trip times on this route will be shifted. On Weekdays, eastbound service will start 6 minutes earlier. On Sundays, westbound service will start 5 minutes earlier. Westbound service will end 5 minutes later on weekdays and Saturday. On weekends, eastbound service will end 5 minutes later.

Schedules will be adjusted to better reflect travel times along the route. Weekday northbound service will start 10 minutes later and end 8 minutes later. Southbound service will end 3 minutes later. Saturday service will end 4 minutes later northbound and 8 minutes later southbound. Sunday service will end 7 minutes later southbound.

Maps and digital system information will be updated to reflect a new road configuration in Sandy Springs. Eastbound trips will now travel on Spruill Lane.

185 Alpharetta
[ Map | Schedule ]
Weekday schedules will be adjusted to better reflect travel times along the route. Northbound service will end 10 minutes earlier. Southbound service will start 1 minute later.

191 Riverdale / ATL Intl Terminal
[ Map | Schedule ]
All trips will serve Pointe South Parkway and Flint River Road. Alternating trips will no longer serve GA-138.
On weekdays and Saturdays, service will be extended to the airport South Cargo facility. The frequency will be changed to every 45 minutes from every 40 minutes. Northbound service will start 12 minutes earlier. On weekdays only, service in both directions will end 10 minutes later.
On Sundays, Route 191 will not serve the airport South Cargo facility. The frequency will continue to be every 60 minutes. Northbound service will start 7 minutes earlier. Southbound service will end 4 minutes later.
In addition, the detour at the Clayton County Justice Center will be made permanent. See the “Detour Updates” section below for details.

To improve operational efficiency, one weekday morning trip will be shifted by 3 minutes.

The detour routing at the Clayton County Justice Center will be made permanent. The route will travel Deputy Rick Daly Memorial Boulevard in both directions, rather than Poston Road. There are no other routing or frequency changes.

MARTA is offering up to $5 off Uber and Lyft rideshare trips Monday-Friday, 4 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. (to address early morning gaps in MARTA service areas).
MARTA has modified its MARTAConnect Early Bird Program in response to a steady increase in morning service levels. Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 6, the program is now limited to the following routes: 21, 75, 82, 85, 103, 132, 140, 141, 185, 188, and 899,
and the rideshare subsidy reduced from $8 to $5.
Route 183 - Niskey
Lake Road Detour (limit two trips per day)

Due to safety concerns regarding lane widths on Niskey Lake Rd, Route 183 will be on detour until further notice. Service will not operate north of Campbellton Rd along Niskey Lake Rd and County Line Rd at this time. MARTA bus stops located on Campbellton
Rd near Niskey Lake Rd and Campbellton Rd near County Line Rd are available for service to Barge Rd Park and Ride and Lakewood Station.
